Wallum Heathland Grass Trio - Giclee Art Print
Wallum Heathland Grass Trio ~ Themeda triandra, Caustis recurvata, Balsokian tetraphyllum Subp. meiostachyum
About the Artwork
Wallum Heathland Grass Trio was created as part of the exhibition ‘FROM THE HEATH’ , which pays homage to the precious enclaves of coastal swamp heath, native grasses and wildflowers, adapted to grow from bleached silica sand habitats found along a small strip of Australia's East coast. (SEQLD)
This coastal Wallum environment forms one of the richest plant communities in the world, but is largely hidden, existing in dwindling swamp heath plains between developing highways, highrises and past sand mine sites. These illustrative offerings have been drawn by Edith to connect you with these plantscapes and shine a light on the beauty of Qld wildflowers.
